Nathan England has been a private consultant for many years, managing Microsoft Windows and
Gnu/Linux systems in seperate and combined networks, in the local Pine/Strawberry and Payson area, as
well as in the greater Metro Phoenix area.
Focusing on providing the absolute best service possible, only the best tools for the job are used:

- FreeBSD
- Microsoft Windows
I never push a system into a place it does not belong. For the business owner who
plans to maintain the system after development, installation, or upgrade has taken place, you are
provided with all necessary documentation required to do so. You are always given the
information up front, or when completed, so you may "fire me" when the job is finished.
There is nothing scarrier in the business world than hiring a consultant to fix or replace something
only to have him leave and take your documentation with you. My focus is to get your systems
functioning as quickly as possible, with as little maintenance required as possible, so you can do your
job, and not worry about mine.
I prefer to use Gnu/Linux when possible due in large part to its inherent security and lower total cost of ownership
for the customer. In situations where Gnu/Linux is not compatible with the infrastructure or will not fill the expected needs,
other solutions are used. Many articles have been written claiming there is no value in free software or the initial cost
of Gnu/Linux is lower but in the end everything takes longer and the TCO is much higher than competing
software. Sadly, this is very true. I have found many customers who have hired a Windows trained expert
and requested Gnu/Linux services, only to find the lack of training raised the cost of everything through
the roof. You could hire a handy man to build your home, but a licensed contractor with more experience
will provide a smoother build and minimize costs. This same logic applies to consultants. When you hire a
consultant who specializes in one area, he will better know that area than someone who specializes in
a broad range of areas. My goal is to stay on top of all the latest trends in Windows and Linux systems administration so I am
able to provide a better customer experience while minimizing costs.
